Philip, a Maine native, joined the firm in 2018 and became an advisor in 2021. He is a CFP® Professional and licensed attorney in Maine. Prior to joining TRSS Wealth Management, LLC, Philip practiced law in Denver and Crested Butte, Colorado in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions and commercial law. Prior to law school, Philip graduated cum laude from the University of Maine with degrees in political science and financial economics while competing at the division I level in soccer.
His is able to advise on matters from retirement to complex estate planning strategies and business succession planning. His practice will be almost entirely on a fee basis and exclusively as a fiduciary, in advisory relationships, for his clients with a focus on business owners, executives and young professionals navigating the new financial landscape facing younger generations. Philip will also continue to work alongside Michael Reed in supporting his clients in the areas of investment services and retirement planning.
Philip lives in Biddeford with his wife, Maura, and two boys Thomas and Oliver. He skis, bikes, and fishes as much as possible outside of work.

Michael has more than 35 years of experience developing comprehensive plans for individuals, families and business owners as they pursue important financial and life goals. He specializes in helping clients manage and preserve their wealth through retirement income planning, estate planning and asset-allocation strategies.
Michael received his BS degree in marketing from the University of Maryland; and he has completed extensive education and application training in all aspects of financial planning, income taxation, investments, and estate and retirement planning for the benefit of his clients. He received his CFP® certification from The American College, and is a Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant®.
Michael is a member of the Portland Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He enjoys sailing, traveling, gardening and cars. He lives in Kennebunkport, Maine, with his wife, Sylvie, and they have three grown sons.

Andy is a 1973 graduate of the University of Virginia with a BS degree in Architecture. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1983 with a Master’s in Business Administration. Prior to becoming a Financial Planner in 1998, he was involved in an ownership position with an ice cream manufacturing business in the greater Portland area, as well as an export consultant to a frozen dessert manufacturer in New Jersey.
Andy earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation from the American College in 2003, and Chartered Adviser for Senior Living (CASL®) in 2005. These two professional designations require ongoing continuing education in all aspects of financial planning. His business background has been helpful in working with business owner clients navigating their personal and company retirement planning and education funding goals.
With four children who attended college, Andy gained extensive personal experience in understanding how the FAFSA and CSS Profile methodologies, used by the Department of Education and The College Board, impact client’s Expected Family Contribution (EFC) when applying to colleges for financial aid. He’s taught evening classes on this subject for over ten years.
Andy is a current board member at Partners for World Health, the leading Organization in New England accepting surplus medical supplies that can be donated to undeserved countries. He is a past board member and current advisory member of the Center for Grieving Children. In the winter he volunteers one a day a week as an instructor at Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation. Andy and his wife, Annie, live in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where they enjoy gardening, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
Bruce Sawyer is a founding member and LPL Branch Manager of TRSS Wealth Management, LLC. He has been dedicated to assisting his clients in pursuing their financial goals for more than 25 years. Bruce is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, where he received a BS degree in business administration.
Bruce serves as a financial advisor to many successful professionals, business owners and retirees. His approach may be a good fit for individuals seeking a well-conceived financial plan stressing long-term, value-oriented investing supported by effective tax and estate planning strategies.

Bruce resides in Gray, Maine, with his wife, Brenda, and their two children. When not working, he commits his energy to his family and to his community. He sits on a number of community boards, including the Gray Water District.
Tom Brunelle joined the firm in 2000, and became a partner at TRSS Wealth Management, LLC, in January 2014. Tom is a Certified Retirement Counselor®. He’s been a licensed registered representative since 1994, when he joined IDS Financial Services/American Express Financial Advisors in Ocala, Florida
For nearly thirty years Tom has enjoyed helping individuals and families grow and preserve their wealth through prudent investment strategies aligned with their needs and goals. Tom holds his Series 7, 63 and 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial; and is registered for securities in eight states. He’s also registered as an investment advisor representative in Maine and holds his state insurance licenses for life and variable products.
Tom resides in Bar Mills, Maine, with his wife Anna Maria. He is particularly passionate about music, cooking, gardening and fly fishing
Michael Joined TRSS in 2018 in a part time capacity while attending Southern Maine Community College majoring in Business Administration. After graduating from SMCC he moved into a full-time position here at the firm, working as an advisor assistant to Bruce.
When not at work you can find Michael living an active life of hunting, fishing year-round, camping in the norther Maine woods, and riding his motorcycle.
Michael resides in Gray, Maine where he is an active member of the community. He is an on-call member of Gray Fire & Rescue, operating as a Fire Fighter and EMT-B. He is also the current President of the Gray Fire & Rescue Association, an association which handles fundraising and purchasing of life saving equipment.
Sym relocated to Maine from New Jersey 25 years ago and set up camp to live the serene life with her family. With a background in Behavioral Health and wisdom through the collective years of work experience, she approaches people with compassion. Working with clients has offered a rich opportunity to connect with fellow Mainers. She makes use of her eagle eye for detail also as head of office compliance.
A bit of a music enthusiast, she can be seen in small venues around town and has recently discovered improv and open mic nights. Kayaking and tent camping fills the spring, summer and fall weekends and the risk taker within is wakening…skydiving next.
